Shoes

So....why choose a blog with a title of High Heel Business? Seems that for as long as I can remember I've been destined for two things, the love of shoes and the love of business.

The love of shoes comes from a long line of women (on my mothers side) obsessed with fashion and shoes. Summers spent at my grandmothers organizing her shoe closet according to color or style were destined to drive me to love putting on a great pair of heels.

The love of business comes from my entrepreneurial father who always was running a business, growing a business, or thinking about business. I worked with him in my early years to develop marketing campaigns and customer loyalty measurements before I even knew what I was doing.

So perfect that now, I have the pleasure of being an Director of Customer and Partner Strategy at a firm in which I direct both the marketing teams, customer facing teams and I can wear heels while doing so.

I always wanted to start a BLOG that was focused on SHOES and the women that wore them. Basically telling their story from a different angle. Basically, from the ground looking up. Then there was an Ugly Betty Episode in which Betty did just that. I couldn't believe that my idea ended up on TV. So instead, I am taking a left turn to the BLOG original idea and focusing on everything that it takes for a women to be in the business world these days, and those issues in the business world that I am passionate about.

You will most likely see a lot of lively dialogue about customer loyalty, business management practices and well....shoes and fashion.
